LIMERICK city's Na Piarsaigh will face Croom in the quarter-finals of the county senior hurling championship following Saturday's draw in Ballyagran.
The draw was made by county secretary Mike O’Riordan following Croom’s 14-point replay win over Granagh-Ballingarry in the second round of the loser’s group.
Na Piarsaigh’s city division colleagues Patrickswell will face Murroe-Boher in their respective quarter-final. The impressive divisional side Emmets will face Ahane in another quarter-final while the fourth quarter-final will see defending county champions Adare take on a resurgent Doon side. Two quarter-finals are expected to be played at the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday next while two more will be fought out on Saturday, September 19.
Meanwhile Monaleen, who lost to Ballylanders (1-7 to 0-14), and Claughaun, who were defeated by Pallasgreen on Saturday, completed their senior football campaigns over the weekend.
The knock-out stages of the senior football championship will be confirmed on Tuesday night following the crucial group two clash between Hospital-Herbertstown and St. Senan’s.
