Super Blues hope to help Caherdavin

REACTING to the news last week that the Caherdavin FC store rooms had been destroyed in a fire Limerick FC have decided to donate the proceeds of their half-time raffle during next Monday night’s, April 13 League Cup encounter with the Wexford Youths at Jackman Park (kick-off 7.45pm).
“Limerick FC are delighted to be able to help,” explained a press release from the club, “and hope it goes some way to making up for the loss suffered.
“We hope the soccer public come out in force on the night in support of Limerick FC and Caherdavin FC.
“It (fire) was a cruel blow for the club who do such fantastic work in their community and help cater for kids of all ages as well as adult teams.
“In this day and age where grants have been cut and fundraising is extremely difficult, this act of mindless vandalism has been felt very deeply.”
Limerick FC’s cup clash with the Wexford Youths will come a mere three days after the Super Blues travel to Ferrycarrig Park on Friday night (8pm) to face Mick Wallace’s side in a League of Ireland First Division fixture.
Meanwhile Limerick FC will host an Easter Camp for boys and girls (aged 5-12) next week - Tuesday, April 14 to Friday, April 17 (10am to 1.30pm - children need to register by 9.45am each morning). The camp will be hosted at the Abbey Rovers pitch in Abbeyvale, Corbally.
On completion of the camp each child will receive a ‘Certificate of Completion’, a ticket for Limerick FC’s homegame against Kildare County on Friday, April 17 and a Limerick FC gift pack. For information call: 085 1305752 or 086 3019408. Email: academy@limerickfc.ie
